143 & 144: “Identity” / “Control”

Jason Lassner is a psychologist living in Iowa City. In episode 1 of 2, he will talk about being born in Detroit, the death of his father when he was only 8 years old, moving to Ann Arbor at 10 years old, and attending private school. Jason will also talk about getting a therapist at age 12, grad school in Pittsburgh, an internship in Colorado, and deciding to focus on couples and sex therapy in his career as a psychologist. In episode 2 of 2, he will talk about working at the University of Iowa in adult psychiatry, meeting his wife on a blind date, transitioning to private practice, becoming a parent, and retirement, among other things.
